Kia Ora and welcome! We're a fantastic group of Year 6 students based in Te Aroha, in New Zealand! In Room 4 we know we work as a team, we know it's good to be different, we know that making mistakes helps us learn, we always give things our all and NEVER give up, we care and share and have fun! Don't forget to drop us a like and leave your thoughts in the comments.

We're back and are straight back into it!
What an amazing week we all had last week! It was an awesome week of lots of firsts for many of the students in Room 4 and the rest of the middle school (Rooms 9, 10, 13, some of Room 3 and of course teachers and parents too). We're excited to share our experiences and stories (both the good and the bad) with you throughout the next few weeks - so keep checking in!

LAST TERM OF 2017!
It's great to students coming back to school with a great attitude and their sunhats! Especially as we're heading into summer and the days are already heating up. Just a reminder that next week it's compulsory for all students to have a school hat.
What's coming up this term...
Well lots of us are really excited about Middle School Camp next week!!
Next week (week 2) is our first ever Stanley Avenue School Middle School Camp! On Tuesday the year 4s, 5s and 6s will head away to the fantastic Lakes Ranch camp in Rotorua. While on camp the groups will be experiencing a wide range of awesome activities, games and challenges – including mud run, night glow worm walk, buma trail, kayaking… and more!!! This week we have started our Camp Journal Books in our camp groups and starting planning our group skits!!

End of term 3 updates!
Last term we had been doing squash on a Thursday with a squash instructor called Kay. She taught us how to bounce the ball on the squash racket, how to dodge quickly with fast feet. She also taught us how to play dog and bone with the reaction ball, it bounces everywhere! Kay is the best!!!
Thank you, Kay, for teaching us squash!!!

Jessica Bray got 3rd, Anna Wade got 2nd and Rico Dare got 1st in year 6s. Everyone that went to the speech finals had a good speech and they were all very interesting with awesome facts and lots of humour.
